Whether you’ve picked up the guitar as a hobby, have a child who has an interest in music, or are a serious musician and want to take your playing to the next level, Brett can provide the appropriate instruction. With over a decade of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music degree, he brings patience and a wealth of expertise to each lesson to help students expand their knowledge and enjoyment of the guitar.
Lessons are carefully crafted to complement each student's particular skill level, learning style, taste, and goals. Styles include rock, jazz, blues, classical, children’s music, and more. Weekly lessons are offered in 30, 45, or 60 minute sessions.
for Adults
Many adult guitarists play for years without feeling as though they are progressing musically. Brett is skilled at helping students break away from their old routine and branch out into new territory. Music theory, ear training, fingerboard comprehension and technique can be presented in a way unique to your personal needs. Brett can help you “connect the dots” between your past musical experiences on a path to better overall musicianship. And, if you are new to the guitar, he can start you off on the right foot from the beginning.
for Kids
No two kids are exactly the same, nor do they learn music in the same way. Some kids learn best from structured method books, others gravitate toward learning familiar songs by ear, and many thrive on a balance of both techniques. The most important element is that the child continues to be excited about playing the guitar. The basics of musicianship can be taught through almost any type of music and Brett will take the time to tailor an approach that works best for your child.
